To all my amazing friends, first of all I have to say thank you so much for coming to my new site!!! I wanted to do something new, at least new for me in 2010! I wanted to start keeping a “journal” for all of you!!
2009, was such an amazing year and I can’t thank you enough for your continuous love and support!! Last year was a beautiful year, it consisted of many exciting things, I’m gonna highlight a few! It started off with finishing up & releasing my very first album!!! That has been a dream of mine since I was 12 years old and that became reality last year!! HoI didn’t think it could get any better than that, but it did, on April 11th I released my album to my home state, Oklahoma @ the amazing Riverwind Casino in Norman.
I brought my band from Nashville, Billy Dawson, Nathan Veenstra, Jenn Stone, Albert Svendall, Adam Popick, Mason Douglas & Erin Ashleigh. Billy & Erin did an amazing job by opening up the show with some of their tunes. We did a lot of songs off the album & a few covers…ended the night with Believe & surprised the audience when a whole choir came marchin’ down the aisles groovin’ to the beats of believe!! That had always been a dream of mine to have a choir and thanks to a few friends that made that happen!! Then just when they thought the show was over, Erin and I ran off stage, had the fastest wardrobe change of my LIFE and took a second to breathe while the band ended believe and then closed the show with a simple, but beautiful version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” I ABSOLUTELY did not want that night to end!!!
Can’t wait to do it again!
Then, in October we started the STREET TEAM VIDEO CHATS!! I wanted something that could be fun and casual and it has been just that!! What’s so cool is you can be anywhere in the WORLD and watch this show!! We have people tuning in from Australia (keep in mind its like 2 AM over there :), Uk, and all over the United States! It was also a way to get to know you all and for you to get to know me & spotlighting some of my very talented friends. Some of them are co-writers on my album & others are ones that I believe in and want to share them to whoever I can :) Guests we have had on so far, to kick off the VERY first one we had, Ryan Nicholson, Billy Dawson & David Bradley & Nathan Veenstra on percussion.

Third, right before Christmas we did a special show with just Ryan Nicholson and I sharing some songs you know and some you have never heard…songs that we have written and don’t get to play out very often. These have been some special nights!
To kick off the NEW YEAR in January, I had Cory Batten & Mason Douglas on!

Hope you enjoy keeping up with me through this blog! I wanted to use it as another way to connect with you. I am going to be writing to you about my week, whats going on, even telling you when its not all pretty & perfect world stuff :) if there was such a thing, but I am really excited about this year and I am so glad I get to share it with you!! I am so blessed to be writing songs, singing, and performing for a living, I am a lucky girl!!!
